Movie Opener Brainstorm and Research

Rise:

Observations: boy practicing soccer alone in the field. Coach or scouter watchin him work hard and practice. They use establishing shots, over the shoulder, extreme close up, and wide shots to capture the film. When it comes to camera movement they use zooms, dolly, and focus pull/ back focus. These observations helps us brainstorm our camera movement and shots we should use when filming.

he shots used were, over the shoulder, overhead, and a two person shot. There was also  a voice over and music playing in the background. These helps us pick out which music we should pick for our theme.

Dare to thrill:

Observations: Group of kids laughing while walking. They all get in the car with the keys and start driving away. n Upbeat and fun music. At the end in the truck they see something that scars them. This helps us create our film opener since it shows the dark lighting and fun atmospheres quickly change to a scary mood.

Eerie music shots and lighting. They use sound effects and loud audio to show his emotion Using close up shots and  jump cuts to show him going insane.

Camera Angles and Shots Project Blog Post

We took many different shots on Friday for our Camera angles and Shots project. The three that we included were long shot, two shot, and an over the shoulder shot. For our long shot, we captured both of us in the frame. It allowed the audience to see all the information at once. It showed both of our entire body and our body language. Another shot we took was a two shot, where both me and Bianca were in frame. The shot captured our emotional reaction and interaction, of her strangling me. Which showed our close and fun friendship between us.  Our third shot we took was a over the shoulder shot. We took a photo behind a person facing another classmate. Which demonstrated a dialogue scene where people are talking showing their feelings. It helped us focus on one of the students and the conversation they were having. I thought this assignment was very fun. It gave us a hands on experience of taking these different types of shots like how they do in movie or shows. I found it re...

It what builds tension and helps create the story Explain why it as or was not difficult to come up with sound ideas for a story that would not have visuals. It was not difficult to come up with sound ideas when our story did not have visuals because we wrote down descriptions for each sound and recreated it on our own. It was not hard and fun to use different objects to create unique sounds. Our group was successful in being able to create a sound story that the audience is able to understand by listening to the sounds that were chosen since we used different objects to recreate the same sound that we need. When opening and closing a theate...
